POPLA sees 33% growth in appeals against PCNs issued in private land

Around 40% of all appeals submitted to the Parking on Private Land Appeals (POPLA) service result in the parking charge notice being cancelled. POPLA is the appeals service set up to hear challenges against PCNs issued by private parking operators belonging to the British Parking Association Approved Operator Scheme. The appeals service is run under contract by Ombudsman Services, an organisation offering dispute resolution services across a number of consumer sectors.
