Swansea extends annual permits

Swansea Council is giving city centre workers with annual parking permits an additional three months free. This will mean they do not lose out due to the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

Mark Thomas, Swansea Council cabinet member for environment and infrastructure management, said the council’s system does not allow permits to be suspended, so has decided to extending them by three months.

“Obviously we want to ensure motorists are not out of pocket and paying for a service they are not receiving,” he said.
