A NEW transport interchange could be built at Inverness railway station.
An interchange steering group is likely to be set up, comprising Network Rail, Transport Scotland, Highland Council, and Hitrans, the Highlands and Islands transport partnership.
Hitrans says Network Rail has purchased a number of parcels of land around the station with funding from Transport Scotland.
