It’s interesting that Northern Ireland will allow e-cycles to go up to 15.5mph and still not be treated as a motor vehicles (‘E-bikes cleared for NI’ LTT 29 May). Meanwhile, mobility scooters are limited to 4mph on footways and above that they must use the roads. Mobility scooters are also banned from cycle paths.
