Local government in Cambridgeshire has voiced concerns about England’s Economic Heartland’s proposal to become a statutory sub-national transport body (STB).

The EEH is consulting on the powers it may request in any application to become a statutory STB (LTT 07 Aug). 

But the Cambridgeshire and  Peterborough Combined Authority says the EEH is an inappropriate geography for regional transport planning, and has questioned the wisdom of some of the proposed powers.
