Stuart Baker, a former divisional manager for rail at the DfT, has died. Baker retired from the DfT in 2018. His name will be familiar to many as the author of the Rail Atlas of Great Britain and Ireland, first published in 1977 by the Oxford Publishing Company when Baker was a student at the University of Oxford.
