Chipside wins global ICT award

Chipside was presented with 2020 Public/Private Partnership Award at the WITSA Global ICT Excellence Awards.

The World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) jury were impressed by how Chipside worked with parking and traffic managers at 170 UK local authorities via a working group that is run voluntarily rather than for commercial gain.

WITSA’s secretary general, Dr Jim Poisant, said: “From Nigeria to Bangladesh, from Argentina to the United Kingdom and beyond, this year’s awards are happening at a very unique time in history. In spite of going through a global pandemic we were delighted that we were be able to recognise some of the very best ICT solutions from governments, institutions, individuals and industry.”

The awards formed part of the 2020 TECHFEST Live! event, which was held in Penang, Malaysia on 18-20 November.
