EV rapid chargers will replace phone kiosks in Ireland

Underused telephones kiosks in the Republic of Ireland are set to be replaced by electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. Telecoms company eir has joined forces with charging network provider EasyGo to roll-out 180 rapid electric vehicle chargers across Ireland.

Carolan Lennon, chief executive of eir, said: “Radical transformation is required to meet the challenge of climate change. Eir is committed to playing our part in the creation of a greener, more sustainable Ireland....
