The Scottish Government paid ScotRail £237.3m more subsidy between March and September last year than the corresponding period of the previous year because of Covid-19. Transport Scotland paid operator Abellio £475.1m during the Emergency Measures Agreement that operated from 1 March to September.
This is twice the £237.8 paid to the operator for the corresponding period of 2019.
