People with non-visible disabilities are at a disadvantage when applying for Blue Badge parking permits, suggests an investigation by the BBC investigation.
New rules introduced in 2019 widened the eligibility criteria to ensure people with non-visible disabilities were not disadvantaged. However, the broadcaster says its research shows some councils have lower approval rates for non-visible disabilities applications compared to those for physical impairments.
