Capital’s cycle route network remains sub-standard

The cycle infrastructure works announced by Sadiq Kahn (see news) are welcome but are mainly long overdue upgrades to dangerously sub-standard routes

and obvious omissions, or ‘missing links’ that Transport for London should and could have delivered many years ago.

Cycle superhighways 2, 7 and 8 (CS2,7 and 8) were criticised by the Greater London Authority in 2012 as being unsafe and unfit for purpose, yet only CS2 has since been segregated, why?
