Scots buses go electric

The Scottish Government has awarded £40.5m towards the cost of 215 electric buses through a second round of the Scottish Ultra-Low Emission Bus Scheme (SULEBS). Of the total, 172 will be built in Scotland by Alexander Dennis (ADL) in Falkirk. FirstGroup subsidiary First Glasgow has been awarded £24.3m for 126 vehicles. Stagecoach (pictured) has ordered 46 BYD ADL electric buses for fleets in Aberdeen, Perth and Kilmarnock: 24 single deck and 22 double deck. ...
