Parking charges for visitors to a picturesque Cotswold village are to be introduced for the first time.
Cotswold District Council said an increase in visitors had caused a negative impact on the area and led to complaints by residents.
The council said the charge would be restricted to a car park that is mainly used by tourists. People have been charged a 50p for parking in the Rissington Road car park from 8 March.
The council estimates the charge could generate about £25,000 a year.
