Denmark is developing a nationwide low emission zone (LEZ) concept called Miljoezoner, which uses camera enforcement technology to ensure compliance with access restrictions. The penalty for driving illegally in the Danish LEZs is DKK 12,500 (£1,440) for lorries and buses and DKK 1,500 (£170) for vans.
