Up to three children aged 11 and under can now travel for free on Tyne and Wear Metro and the Shields Ferry when accompanied by a fare paying adult. Tyne & Wear’s Passenger Transport Executive Nexus first introduced the Take the Kids for Free offer during weekends in January 2020.
