Harrison becomes transport minister in reshuffle

Trudy Harrison has been appointed a transport minister as part of prime minister Boris Johnson’s cabinet reshuffle. She replaces Rachel Maclean, who has moved to the Home Office.

Harrison, who is MP for Copeland, has served as the prime minister’s parliamentary private secretary (PPS) since December 2019 and, prior to that, as PPS across three government departments – Department for Education, Ministry of Defence and Department for Transport.
