Cost of London Red Route fines to increase

TfL says more expensive PCNs will deter traffic violations and reduce congestion

Transport for London (TfL) is to increase fines for contraventions on London’s Red Routes in a bid to provide a more effective deterrent that will lead to increased compliance and reduce road danger and congestion.

From 17 January 2022, the cost of a penalty charge notice (PCN) will increase from £130 to £160. The penalty will still be reduced by 50% if paid within 14 days and increased by 50% if paid after 28 days.
