A new generation of road safety cameras are being rolled out in Scotland, with the first eight units now operating in Glasgow, Greenock and Falkirk. The Vektor SR units, designed to capture speeding and red light offences, are supplied, installed and maintained by Jenoptik.
Transport Scotland, which is responsible for all roads in the country, has published a Road Safety Framework seeking to have the best road safety performance in the world by 2030.
