The finalists for the 2022 Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards have been revealed.
Now in their 15th year, the awards celebrate the vital contribution women make to transport and logistics showcasing progression, accomplishments and increasing avenues of opportunity within a traditionally male-dominated industry.
Representing all sectors of the industry, from freight to retail and automotive to air transport, this year’s finalists showcase the crucial positions women hold in transport and logistics, demonstrating progression, accomplishments and increasing avenues of opportunity.
The 2022 entries have been assessed by a panel of judges including:
Maxine Benson MBE, co-founder of Everywoman, said: “The COVID-19 crisis and driver shortages have thrown transport and logistics into the spotlight as never before, with those working in the sector hailed as key worker heroes for keeping essential suppliers stocked. The impact of this pressure has seen an increase in women entering the industry for the first time, with the number of female delivery drivers increasing by as much as 104%. However, women still only account for 20% of the 1.7 million people working in transport and logistics.”
The winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London on 30 June 2022.
