Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham has announced plans to introduced simplified, cheaper bus fares as year earlier than planned on 1 September 2022. Subject to agreement with the Government and bus operators, single journey fares will be capped at £1 for children and £2 for adults. Also, there will be a new £5 daily ticket people can buy which will allow for unlimited travel on all operators.
