The closure decision has been made by Warwick District Council, which has been closely monitoring the structure of the building for several years. Parts of the facility were sealed off in 2019 and ongoing issues of anti-social behaviour led to the closure of upper levels 5 and 6.
With the cost of repairs likely to be high, the council’s cabinet is considering a report on the demolition of the car park.
