Change needed to make bus services accessible for disabled users, report says

Bus services are still not meeting the needs of disabled users despite improvements in recent years, says a new report from Bus Users UK.

Research carried out by the charity found that many bus stops did not have necessary facilities such as seating or shelter, while obstacles around the bus stop such as heightened kerbs, bins and bike stands, often made getting to the bus stop and boarding the bus difficult.
