Bristol car park ceiling collapses

Flats were evacuated after the collapse of the ceiling of an underground car park in Bristol. Firefighters were called to Portland Square in St Pauls, Bristol, at 6.45pm on 30 July.

Around 40 residents had to leave their homes while engineers assessed the building. Three hours later, the flats were deemed safe for people to re-enter.
