The new 2024 edition of Transport Statistics Great Britain (TSGB) has been published, presenting a summary of statistics for transport activity, mostly relating to the calendar year 2023.
For domestic travel in 2023 people travelled a total of 799 billion passenger kilometres, 8% higher than 2022 as activity continued to recover from the Pandemic. 90% of all passenger kilometres travelled were by road.
