Parking for nearly 1,000 vehicles could be created at the National Memorial Arboretum under new proposals.
A planning application submitted to Lichfield District Council proposes to build the car park south of the main entrance of the site in Alrewas, Staffordshire.
The new car park would replace the current temporary parking on Alrewas Quarry and along with the 983 spaces. It would include 18 bus parking spaces as well as welfare facilities.
