There are nominally 15 bus operators currently running London Bus services, but eightof these belong to the same four major groups either as specific subsidiaries for different areas, or through the acquisition of former private operators. With the re-entry of First through the takeover of the two RATP London operating companies, only National Express of the ‘big five’ is missing.
