A bid to halt more floating bus stops from being installed has been narrowly defeated by 2 votes in the House of Lords. Amendments to the forthcoming Bus Services (No.2) Bill, put forward by Lord Holmes of Richmond, would have required new guidance that buses must stop “at the kerbside”.
