Elaine Holt to head publicly-owned East Coast franchise

Transport minister Lord Adonis has announced that Elaine Holt, until recently the managing director of First Capital Connect, has been appointed as chief executive of the new government-owned company that will take control of the East Coast rail franchise from National Express later this year.
