Uncertainty surrounds exactly when full services on London’s Crossrail will begin. In announcing the go-ahead for the full project last month, the DfT said the tunnel between Paddington and Whitechapel would be completed in 2018 and that the full route would then be opened on a phased basis. Asked for more details about the plans, Steve Allen, managing director of finance at Transport for London, told the London Assembly that the tunnelled section would open towards the end of 2018....
