A huge shake-up to who operates passenger transport contracts in Dorset was announced this week following the completion of an innovative procurement exercise for all 700 of the council’s contracts.
The big shock was the news that First Group, one of the area’s main bus operators, has failed to win any work. Go-Ahead subsidiary Damory has won a huge number of new contracts and plans to increase its fleet size by 180 vehicles.
