New route ahead for Taxis?

A major shake-up in the the century old UK legal framework for taxi operations is on the cards

After years of neglect, it seems that it is finally being acknowledged in the UK that taxis are an important part of the public transport system and the framework for their operation needs revision. In the past few weeks the Transport Select Committee of the House of Commons has reported positively on the role of taxis and now the Law Commission has added a review of taxi legislation to its current programme of work.
