A new research centre is being set up to investigate how transport and other initiatives can contribute to local economic growth.
The ‘What works centre for local economic growth’ will be launched on 1 September and run for three years. It is being funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and the Department for Communities and Local Government.
