Road accident fatalities in Scotland fell 6% to 174 last year, according to figures published by the Scottish Government. Car occupant fatalities dropped from 89 to 73 and motorcycle fatalities from 33 to 21 but pedestrian fatalities rose from 43 to 57 and cyclist fatalities rose from seven to nine.
