A new transport strategy for Dublin has proposed a citywide dedicated cycle network and the banning of cars from certain areas.

The Dublin City Centre Transport Study, for Dublin City Council and the National Transport Authority (NTA), states: “In 2014, there were circa 192,000 journeys into the city centre each weekday in the peak morning period alone (7am to 10am).
