Tunbridge Wells Borough Council (TWBC) has helped develop a system that gives motorists the advantages of pay-on-foot without the need for barriers or ANPR cameras. The council had received many requests, and even a petition with over 2,000 names, from residents and businesses asking for a payment option that would enable payment by card at the end of their parking session instead of having to predict the length of time beforehand.
