BUS OPERATORS are working with South Yorkshire PTE and Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council on a review of the area’s bus network.
The revised Barnsley network should be implemented next January and be supported by a voluntary partnership agreement (VPA). Five operators have expressed interest in joining the agreement: Arriva Yorkshire; Stagecoach Yorkshire; TM Travel; Globe Coaches; and Waterson Coaches. SYPTE says these operators provide 99% of bus miles in the area.
