The West Midlands Combined Authority has approved a 2.6% cut to next year’s transport levy, which funds the activities of Transport for the West Midlands (TfWM).
WMCA says the levy reduction, from £124.83m this year to £121.54m in 2017/18, will not affect the delivery of any existing policies.
The biggest chunk of the levy – 43% – is used to fund bus operator reimbursement for the statutory English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS).
