The Government should designate part of the UK’s transport infrastructure for ‘real world’ testing environments of new technology, according to the UK engineering profession.
The suggestion comes in the Royal Academy of Engineering’s (RAE) submission to the Government’s industrial strategy consultation. The RAE calls for a UK-wide network of ‘national innovation assets’ where tests could be conducted.
