In view of the ongoing conflict between highly respected statistician Professor Mike Maher and Rod King of campaign group 20’s Plenty (“20mph campaigners ‘trying to discredit DfT study’” LTT 01 Mar), I’m wondering why Mr King doesn’t apply the same level of scrutiny to flawed studies that claim a positive outcome for 20mph limits? The likes of the Bristol study he cites are more ‘comedy gold’ than ‘gold standard’.
