Transport for London’s plan for a new walking and cycling bridge across the Thames between Rotherhithe and Canary Wharf in east London is a waste of money, says the Canary Wharf Group.
TfL gave an estimated cost for the crossing of £120m-£180m (2016 prices) in a 2017 consultation. A ferry service already links Rotherhithe and Canary Wharf and TfL costed an enhanced ferry service at £30m.
