Britain’s bicycle industry is urging the Government to provide grants to help people purchase e-bikes and cargo bikes.
The calls come in two reports published by the Bicycle Association of Great Britain and prepared by environmental transport consultant Transport for Quality of Life.
Electrically-assisted bikes (e-bikes) enable riders to gain extra momentum from battery power. The assistance cuts out when the bike’s speed reaches 15.5mph.
