The Government has awarded Bath and North East Somerset Council up to £10m for measures to ensure Bath complies with the EU limit values for nitrogen dioxide.
In March, the council approved plans for a class C charging clean air zone (CAZ) in the city, with implementation scheduled for 2021. This would see charges imposed on non-compliant taxis, private hire vehicles, buses, coaches, vans and lorries.
