Thurrock Council remains opposed to Highways England’s Lower Thames Crossing plan, despite analysis suggesting that tunnel traffic will have only a minimal impact on local roads.
Highways England provided a cordoned model of Thurrock, extracted from the wider Local Area Thames Model, to allow the council to explore the effects of the Lower Thames Crossing. The council appointed consultant Peter Brett Associates to conduct the work.
