Use of Cambridge park-and-ride sites has risen markedly since the abolition of the £1 parking charge in April 2018, councillors have heard. The Greater Cambridge Partnership reports that usage rose 11.7 per cent in the year to November 2019. The abolition of the charges cost the councils £1.06m a year in lost revenue.
