Glasgow City Council is searching for a site for an electric vehicle charging hub that will double up as a park-and-ride facility. The council is also planning a taxi and private hire vehicle charging hub facility west of the city centre, potentially within the Newton Street car park. Officers said the latter facility would use numberplate recognition technology to control access and provide a combination of 50kW rapid and 22kW fast charging faciltiies.
