New diesel car registrations fell by more than a third in September compared with the same month last year, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Registrations of battery electric and hybrid vehicles grew.
Diesel registrations fell 38.4 per cent to 46,996 and diesel’s market share fell to 14.3 per cent.
