Sunderland Riverside car park unveiled

£14m multi-storey will provide parking for new urban quarter

A new multi-storey facility is expected to be approved by Sunderland City Council’s Cabinet, and will be the latest addition to Riverside Sunderland, a new urban quarter overlooking the Wear.

The proposal follows the submission of plans for two new offices – providing some 200,000 square feet (60,000 square metres) of commercial space – made by institutional investor Legal & General.
