1,000-space multi-storey will support growth of new business and events venues

Gateshead Council has appointed Willmott Dixon a £22.9m contract to deliver a futuristic multi-storey car park in the Baltic Quarter of Gateshead. The project will deliver 1,000 parking spaces as part of a regeneration of the Newcastle Gateshead Quays area, which also includes an arena, conference and exhibition centre. The £260m regeneration is anticipated to create around 2,000 new jobs and transform the Gateshead quayside.
