London Congestion Charge scheme hours to be reduced

End of evening retrictions will support night-time businesses, culture and hospitality, says TfL

The London Congestion Charge’s hours of operation will be reduced, with the end of evening fees being presented as way to support the city’s culture, hospitality and night-time businesses as they re-open after a prolonged lockdown.

TfL temporarily widened the scope and cost of the Congestion Charge in June 2020 as part of conditions in a UK government emergency funding agreement that was required due to fare income being decimated as ridership plummeted during the pandemic.
