The Welsh Government’s plans for a large park and ride station at the site of Llanwern steelworks, east of Newport, have been delayed by about eight years.
The new station is one of six recommended by the Burns Commission for the main line east of Cardiff. The commission was set up to explore alternatives to building the M4 Relief Road around Newport.
